In addition to the diverse bird world, Lake Vrana is rich in freshwater and marine fish species. The marine species live here because the lake is located close to the sea and therefore has increased salinity. In the whole area of the Lake, except in the area of the ornithological reserve, fishing with a daily catch limit of up to 5 kilograms is allowed. The only species whose catch is banned is the eel, which is strictly protected, while the other species are not banned.
